How long you have to pay
Lean requirement ONE-3047 criteria7 proven
WHEN a seller pays for order items THE SYSTEM SHALL accept the payment only if it is made before the items' payment time limits and its requested amounts add up to their price, and shall charge each payment method its requested amount plus its surcharge.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.acceptPayment
Each item in your booking shows a payment deadline. We accept a payment made before that time, and we turn down one made at or after it. The amounts you pay must add up to the price of the items you are paying for. If a payment method carries a card fee, we charge it on top of the amount you pay with that method.
Paying with more than one method
Lean requirement ONE-3014 criteria4 proven
THE SYSTEM SHALL give a payment the status FAILED if it has no payment method or the transaction of any of its payment methods failed, SUCCESSFUL if all of them succeeded, and PENDING otherwise.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.Transaction.status
You can split a payment across more than one card or account. The payment goes through only when every part succeeds. If any part is declined, the whole payment fails, and you can try again.
When your booking counts as paid
Lean requirement ONE-3023 criteria3 proven
THE SYSTEM SHALL count an order item paid once a SUCCESSFUL payment covers it.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.isPaid
An item counts as paid once a payment covering it has gone through. While a payment is still pending, or if it failed, the item is not paid yet and nothing in your trip changes.
Updates from your bank
Lean requirement ONE-3033 criteria2 proven1 open
WHEN the airline reports the outcome of a payment method's transaction THE SYSTEM SHALL record it as the transaction's status if the move from the recorded status is allowed.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.recordOutcome
We record the result of each card or account as it reaches us. A result for one card leaves the other parts of the same payment as they were.
If you do not pay in time
Lean requirement ONE-3066 criteria4 proven2 open
WHEN an order item's payment time limit passes with no SUCCESSFUL payment covering it THE SYSTEM SHALL remove the item and mark FAILED every PENDING payment that covers it.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.expireUnpaid
If the payment deadline passes and no payment has gone through, we remove the unpaid items from your booking. Any payment still pending for them is cancelled. An item that is paid is never removed this way.
If you send your booking twice
Lean requirement ONE-4034 criteria3 proven1 open
WHEN a seller sends a create request THE SYSTEM SHALL create the order and record the offers it came from, unless an offer it names has already produced an order.
Lean: Rules.OneOrder.Creation.createOnce
If your connection drops and you send the same booking again, we check whether that offer has already been booked. If it has, you get the booking you already have, or we turn down the second request. Either way, we tell you.
Still being decided
A booking with no payment deadline
Open criterion ONE-306.5open
THE SYSTEM SHALL not keep an unpaid order item in the order indefinitely.
The rule removes an item only when its payment time limit passes, and the guide lets an airline create an order item without one. …
Open theorem: Rules.OneOrder.Payment.unpaid_item_removed_eventually
Now and then an item is booked without a payment deadline. We have not yet decided how long an unpaid item like that can stay in your booking. If you see one, contact us and we will set a deadline with you.
Booking twice from one offer
Open criterion ONE-403.4open
THE SYSTEM SHALL create at most one order from each offer.
The sources do not say that creating an order uses up its offer. …
Open theorem: Rules.OneOrder.Creation.once_per_offer
We have not yet decided how we recognize a repeated booking in every case. If you find two bookings for the same trip, contact us and we will cancel the duplicate.
